Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026.
The Sudanese American Soccer Federation (“SASF,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information provided through the SASF mobile application and related services. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who may access it, and your choices.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use SASF, we may collect account and contact information, registration and team information, emergency-contact information, authentication information, profile photos, and tournament media. This information supports tournament safety, emergency response, participant profiles, community activities, and administration.
2. Why We Collect Information
SASF uses information to create and secure accounts, process registrations, assign roles and teams, manage games, schedules, standings and events, provide notifications, communicate with participants, manage emergency contacts, display permitted profiles and media, answer complaints and support requests, and protect and improve SASF services.
3. How Information Is Stored
Personal information may be transmitted to and stored by SASF hosting, database, authentication, and technology providers. SASF uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Passwords and authentication credentials should not be intentionally stored in plain text.
4. Who Has Access to Information
Access is limited to people and providers who reasonably need it to operate the app or tournament, including authorized administrators, tournament organizers, appropriate coaches or team personnel, and technical providers. Information should be accessed only for legitimate tournament, safety, administrative, support, or technical purposes.
5. Sale of Personal Information
SASF does not sell personal information and does not rent or sell user information to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties for their independent commercial use.
6. Advertising and Tracking
SASF does not use personal information for third-party advertising tracking or track users across unrelated apps or websites for targeted advertising. Sponsor or community-partner displays do not mean that personal information is shared for advertising tracking.
7. Profile Photos, Tournament Photos, and Media
Profile photos may be displayed with a user profile or tournament participation. Authorized SASF personnel may add tournament photos or videos. Approved media may be used for tournament, community, informational, or promotional purposes consistent with the permission provided. Contact SASF to request media review or removal.
8. Information Concerning Minors
SASF activities may include minors. Registration may require participant, guardian, emergency-contact, consent, media-permission, or emergency medical authorization information. SASF seeks to limit collection to what is reasonably necessary. Parents or guardians may request review, correction, or deletion where appropriate. The app is not intended primarily for children under 13.
9. Emergency Medical Authorization
Participants or guardians may provide emergency medical authorization. Unless another SASF process specifically requests it, this does not require detailed diagnoses, treatment histories, medications, or health records. Emergency information helps organizers respond appropriately.
10. Data Retention
SASF may retain information while reasonably necessary to maintain accounts, operate the tournament, keep appropriate administrative records, resolve disputes or complaints, and meet legal, safety, or organizational obligations. Information no longer needed may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of.
11. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request account deletion, deletion of personal information, correction of inaccurate information, or information about data associated with their account. SASF may verify identity and may retain limited information for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping needs.
12. Third-Party Services
SASF may use providers for hosting, databases, authentication, file and media storage, email, push notifications, and infrastructure. They may process information on SASF’s behalf as needed to provide those services and are not authorized to use it for unrelated advertising.
13. External Links
The app may link to SASF websites, social media, maps, sponsors, or community sites. External services apply their own terms and privacy practices, and SASF is not responsible for unrelated external websites or services.
14. Your Privacy Choices
Users may ask to review or correct personal information, delete an account or certain information, ask how information is used, or request review or removal of profile photos or media. Submit requests using the SASF contact information below.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
SASF may update this policy for changes to the app, tournament operations, legal requirements, or privacy practices. Material revisions may be posted on the SASF website or made available through the app. The effective date identifies the latest revision.
